In the face of widespread layoffs and WFH fatigue, it’s more important than ever for tech workers to get out of the house and connect with the world around us. ArtSeeTech selects NYC’s most noteworthy exhibitions, paired with a time and place to connect and debrief with other colleagues.
We don’t crowd museums, but meet in nearby bars and restaurants. No expertise required; we provide plenty of reading and resources so that you can select what interests you and arrive armed with insights.
No fees, no remarketing, no self-promotion. ArtSeeTech is simply a social club for anyone with dual common interests in art and tech.
The art-curious can leave it to the history buffs among us to select the city’s most noteworthy exhibitions. Our Discord provides helpful tips for your visit, background reading on the artist and peer-to-peer recommendations. Novices welcome.
Read every single placard, or walk out in disgust! Museums and galleries are not designed for large groups, so (like a book club) instead we gather at nearby bars and restaurants. Self-organize into small groups, or see the show alone. Either way, save your commentary for the bar.
Everyone has an aesthetic — patchworks of likes and dislikes express who we are — but in keeping our criticism respectful, we celebrate art’s enjoyment over its disdain. No jerks allowed; don’t yuck the yum; you get it.
ArtSeeTech will never sell or share your information, send you marketing messages, or ask for money beyond covering the cost of events.
